
Babcock Australasia (Babcock) is calling on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) wanting to enter the defence industry to sign up to a nation-wide Defence Industry Engagement Series set to uplift sovereign capability and connect local suppliers with current and emerging Defence opportunities.
The series, led and hosted by Babcock, kicks off this week in Brisbane (4 February) and will then visit Townsville (5 February), Adelaide (9 February) and Henderson in Western Australia (5 March).
It will bring together leaders from Babcock, government and key industry stakeholders who will provide insights into upcoming Defence programs, supply chain requirements, export pathways and outline the support available to SMEs looking to enter the sector for the first time.
The Adelaide session will focus on Babcock’s Global Supply Chain Program and the role of South Australian industry in supporting national and international defence programs. The sessions in Queensland and Western Australia will focus on local opportunities in both states, including AUKUS and maritime, aviation and land.
Across each session, attendees will gain an understanding of how to enter Babcock’s supply chain and meet defence industry supplier requirements and export opportunities through our Global Supply Chain Program (GSCP), as well as offering attendees the opportunity to connect and network with key stakeholders in industry.
