Babcock’s Counter-Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear and Explosive (C-CBRNE) program has been named Land Program of the Year at the 2025 Australian Defence Industry Awards.
The Australian Defence Industry Awards celebrate excellence across the nation’s defence sector, recognising outstanding contributions from businesses and professionals.
Delivered in partnership with the Soldier Modernisation System Project Office (SMSPO) within the Capability, Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG), the C-CBRNE program plays a vital role in protecting Australia’s national interests from chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive threats.
Babcock supports Defence in acquiring, managing, and sustaining advanced C-CBRNE capabilities through a streamlined business model that spans the entire asset lifecycle, from acquisition and introduction into service to maintenance and disposal.
Currently, Babcock provides asset management services for over 150 types of C-CBRNE equipment. These services are delivered in close collaboration with a network of Australian industry suppliers, each a subject matter expert in their field.
In addition to managing existing assets, the program identifies and integrates emerging technologies to keep Defence ahead of evolving threats. These efforts ensure long-term capability, efficiency, and readiness across the Australian Defence Force.
This is not the first time Babcock’s C-CBRNE program has been recognised at the Australian Defence Industry Awards, with the program receiving the Land Program of the Year in 2023 too.
As a Platinum partner of the event, Babcock proudly supports the development of Australia’s highly skilled defence workforce and want to extend our congratulations to all the winners and finalists of 2025.
