At Babcock Australasia, we know that a diverse and inclusive workforce strengthens our capability and enhances the quality of the work we deliver for our customers and communities.
In this report, we outline the gender representation and inclusion outcomes across our Australian workforce, reflecting our commitment to transparency and continuous improvement.
Key findings from our report include:
- The composition of our workforce has remained steady since the last reporting period, with women representing 26% of our employees.
- The proportion of women in management versus non-management remained stable, with 74% of our female employees in managerial positions.
- Our gender pay gap figures are below the Australian national average on most measures.
- We employ over 3 per cent more women than the defence industry average.
We also recognise there is more work to do.
Throughout this period, we have continued to invest in partnerships such as the Adelaide University’s Women In STEM Careers program, and we are pleased to note that our latest Graduate Program intake consists of 52% women.
We also believe in the importance of leadership from the top in driving positive change, and in early 2025 we launched our new Gender Diversity Breakthrough Project – an executive‑led program delivering targeted actions to build a genuinely inclusive environment and accelerate gender representation outcomes.
Achieving gender equality requires continued focus and commitment, and we remain dedicated to advancing gender representation, enabling flexible work, and ensuring equitable outcomes across all levels of our organisation.
