Chloe Lawrence recognised at annual ADM Awards

Babcock’s Chloe Lawrence has been recognised as one of the defence industry’s 30 most outstanding young leaders at the annual ADM Awards.

Congratulations to Babcock’s Chloe Lawrence, who has been recognised as one of the defence industry’s 30 most outstanding young leaders at the Australian Defence Magazine’s (ADM) 30 under 30 Awards ceremony, which was held in Canberra on Wednesday 5 March.

The Award highlighted Chloe’s mentorship to new starters and Graduates within the Counter – Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosive (C-CBRNE) to provide strong understanding of Defence systems and the role Defence Industry plays in delivering capability for the ADF.

Chloe joined Babcock Australasia in October 2019 as a Purchasing Officer, after almost six years with the Navy as a Maritime Logistic Supply Chain Sailor. Over recent years she has quickly moved up the ranks, securing two promotions and is now in a specialist role as the Senior Engineering Technician on the C-CBRNE team.

“I feel really honoured to be included,” Chloe said at the time. “I’m not the type of person who seeks the limelight, but it’s always nice to get recognition for doing good work.”

“I genuinely enjoy my role at Babcock, especially getting to work with such a great team of people every day. I’m also grateful to the excellent managers I’ve had over the past five years for all their support and the opportunities I’ve been given to develop my skills and experience.”

Chloe’s well-deserved award is the latest example of Babcock success in the Awards, with last year’s inaugural winners including our colleagues Sophee Clarke and Adrienne Goode, as well as Patrick Ronai being named as a finalist.

Babcock is proud to be a headline sponsor of the Awards, as part of our commitment to acknowledging and celebrating the expertise and achievements of high performing staff in the defence sector.
