Babcock is passionate about making a positive impact in the communities in which we operate.
We aim to foster long-term meaning partnerships to maximise our contribution to society – to our people, our partners, the environment and local communities. Social investment is one of the tools we use to make this contribution.
Our Social Investment framework is underpinned by four key pillars:
We work with local community groups, charities and not-for-profit organisations across Australia and New Zealand to support their initiatives through funding, volunteering and skills.
Key partnerships
Babcock is proud to establish long-standing relationships with not-for-profit organisations and community groups. We provide these organisations with financial and/or in-kind contributions over a multi-year commitment supporting dedicated programs and initiatives to benefit the wider community.

Volunteering to make a difference
We aim to make a genuine difference to our communities and help them thrive. Volunteering enables our workforce to play an active part in Babcock’s partnerships for the benefit our outreach partners, and the community.
Our workforce is entitled to an annual ‘Be Kind Day’, providing our employees the opportunity to play an active part by volunteering for a charity or community group.
Babcock also encourages our workforce to participate in STEM-based (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) volunteering and mentorship, providing students with access to real-world industry experiences and offering invaluable insights into the industry, sharing knowledge and inspiring students through presentations and hands-on guidance.
